The Pandemic Isn’t Over

A recent Sun Sentinel article, These are the COVID-19 signs Floridians need to watch out for this winter, highlighted the importance of COVID-19 testing to help prevent surges in COVID-19 variants and cases going into the holidays and winter months. This is especially critical for our loved ones and community members who are particularly vulnerable, including those with weakened immune systems or who are immunocompromised and more susceptible to chronic diseases.

The ACT Against COVID Alliance is working to promote the importance of COVID-19 testing in the fight against COVID-19 and educate people and communities on the different types of testing. Individuals and organizations can use ACT’s Right Test Right Time tool to help determine when to get a COVID-19 test and which kind of test is right for your needs.

This year, COVID-19 doesn’t mean that we can’t celebrate the holidays with our loved ones, but extra precautions will help keep ourselves, our families, and our communities healthy. Because as much as we want it to be, the COVID-19 pandemic isn’t over. To make that happen, we have to keep doing the things we know can protect us, and COVID-19 testing plays a huge role.
