•Pen Air Federal Credit Union’s 15th annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society on Friday, March 27 raised $25,000 thanks to the support of many local businesses and generous individuals in the community.

Pen Air selected the society as the recipient of its fund raising efforts because the society’s mission is closely in line with Pen Air’s mission, which is to “Enhance lives through exceptional service, strength, and financial solutions.” The long-term mission of the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society is to help sailors and marines become financially self-sufficient by learning how to better manage their personal finances and prepare for unplanned expenses.

Pen Air FCU has raised well over $425,000 for this cause since the conception of the Charity Golf Tournament.

•The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Navarre High School Student Government Association recently partnered in a Teddy Bear Drive benefiting the Santa Rosa Kids House.

The drive took place at Navarre High through the Student Government Association on March 23 through the 27. Students brought in teddy bears and any other type of stuffed animal to their teachers to donate to the Santa Rosa Kids’ House.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office District Office in Navarre became the collection point for the donations.

Once the project was completed, Deputies delivered the donations to the Santa Rosa Kids House.
