Sometimes in life, there are people who touch our heart in a truly special way. That is the case with Deni Ackeridge.
Deni is one of the most genuine, organized, and caring people I know. She and I quickly assimilated into our roles as case manager and client. Besides living with epilepsy for most of her life, Deni has overcome many challenges including a divorce. When Deni became an Epilepsy Alliance Florida client, she was suffering from major depression which was contributing to her seizures.
Deni now resides with one of her sons and her mother and she feels supported and cared for. She is a warrior and feels the need to help others and care for those around her despite her seizures which affect her day-to-day abilities. Deni always seems to have a smile on her face and is very on top of her appointments and medications.
As her case manager, it is wonderful hearing Deni share her appreciation for Epilepsy Alliance Florida. She is passionate about helping others, despite her challenges, and plans to continue being a client of ours for many years to come.
